We are your local, family-owned and operated turf farm located in the beautiful Hervey Bay. Peter and Christine have been in the turf industry since 1988, servicing the Wide Bay region for over 28 years, previously known as ‘Bay Turf’. Raising their three children here on the farm, it was only natural for Michael to follow in his father’s footsteps and open his own turf farm alongside Leisel, his wife, and their three kids in Gladstone in 2009.

Now combining some of the industry’s brightest minds in turf, they have merged their two family turf farming businesses, giving you the largest turf farm in the Fraser Coast region – Turfworks Group, where we are “Everything About Turf.”

Peter and Michael have always been keen on finding the best grasses and the best ways to get the best grass to our lawnie friends. They have attended many national and international seminars and conferences over the years, researching turf. In 2012, Michael was elected as one of the Future Leaders of the turf industry, winning a scholarship to study best practice methods of turf production in the United States, and he currently serves as a board member of the Queensland Turf Producers Association. So, our passion for lawns is real, and we are always looking at the new, best, and different grasses, lawn products, care, and maintenance. Our new location at 20 Hebblewhite Road, Nikenbah, now boasts a new drive-through shed with an onsite lawn shop and “try before you buy” turf plot displays showing all of our turf varieties.
